PhotoToDrive is a local-first photo and video backup app designed to help users back up content from iPhone to external storage. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed, how it is used, and your rights.
This policy applies to the PhotoToDrive mobile application and related support communication.
PhotoToDrive is built with a local-first approach:
With your permission, PhotoToDrive accesses selected photo/video metadata and media files from Apple Photos to perform backup tasks.
With your permission, PhotoToDrive uses Apple-provided document/file access mechanisms (including security-scoped permissions/bookmarks) to read/write backup destinations you select.
The app stores required local settings and backup bookkeeping data (for example, destination references and backup state) to support features such as resume backup and skip already backed-up items.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not share your photo/video content with third parties for advertising purposes.
Limited disclosures may occur only when required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.
PhotoToDrive may rely on Apple platform services to function (for example, permission handling and iCloud-origin photo availability behavior managed by iOS). When content is not fully available locally, iOS may require network access to retrieve original files from iCloud before backup can complete.
If paid features are offered, purchases are handled through Apple's in-app purchase infrastructure.
Most app data is stored locally on your device and/or your chosen storage destination.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures aligned with Apple platform capabilities to protect data handled by the app. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.
PhotoToDrive is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law in your region. If you believe a child provided personal data improperly, please contact us.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of personal data. Since PhotoToDrive is primarily local-first, many controls are directly available to you on-device (for example, app deletion, permission revocation, and file deletion).
